Monique specialises in building predictive models for data which is collected over time (ie. longitudinal data) and data of this nature commonly arise in commerce, medicine and biology. Longitudinal data is typically complex, multi-layered and nonlinear through time which often requires the use of recently developed statistical techniques.
Monique completed a B.Sc. in Biology, an M.Sc. (Hons.) in Biostatistics and a Ph.D. in Statistics and specialises in nonlinear and mixed model methods. She has particular expertise with regard to:

These methods (or extensions of) can all be used accommodate data which is collected over time and/or across geographic locations (ie. temporally and/or spatially auto-correlated data).
Monique is also passionate about teaching and has taught university level statistics since 1999. She currently lectures undergraduate and postgraduate statistics in the United Kingdom and has a particular interest in teaching statistical modelling to non-specialists using a data based, hands-on approach.
